Just like WordPress and Drupal, Joomla is one of the most popular open source content management systems (CMS). It is used to create websites, blogs, intranets and mobile apps. As announced on 21 March 2016, Joomla now supports PHP 7 and has introduced other useful new features. You can install Joomla automatically on any Infomaniak webhost.

Joomla 3.5 improves a website’s performance

The new CMS version fully supports PHP 7, which increases a website’s loading speed. Like any Infomaniak webhost, which runs with SSD disks and supports the most recent version of PHP 7, you will be able to take full advantage of the performance improvements provided by Joomla 3.5

This update also introduces an email notifications update, a tool to drag and drop/file images and a plug-in to collect certain data in order to improve future versions of Joomla. Data are anonymised before being transmitted and only developers at the core of Joomla can access it.
