Already available in its kChat instant messaging service, Infomaniak is gradually deploying its generative artificial intelligence in its Webmail and its Infomaniak Mail mobile app. AI makes it possible to generate new emails, reply to existing discussions and correct the spelling in messages. It is also able to reformulate or translate an existing message. The data is processed exclusively in Switzerland in Infomaniak’s environmentally-friendly infrastructure.

Write and reply to emails automatically

The AI integrated into the Email Service takes the form of a writing assistant which is launched via the message writing window.

Just write a few words to ask the AI to suggest an answer that is contextual and suitable for the discussion. In a single click, the AI can reformulate a message in a more professional or friendly way, shorten it or enrich it with more detail. By writing “ Translate in English,” the answer will be translated into the desired language. It works with many languages, including German, English, Italian, Spanish and French.

AI can also be used to create new messages. By writing “Welcome Max to the UX/Design team”, for example, the AI will immediately generate a proposal that simply needs to be customised. A huge time-saver.

By default, the editorial assistant uses our sovereign AI, but you can switch to ChatGPT at any time to test the power of our solution.

AI is not a substitute for human intelligence, but it already offers many possibilities – and this is only the beginning. Ultimately, it will make it possible to automate many repetitive tasks in our productivity ecosystem. Swan Blanc, AI R&D at Infomaniak.

Sovereign AI to guarantee privacy

Infomaniak’s AI is an improved version of Falcon LLM, the most powerful open source model on the market. By using the editorial assistant, requests addressed to the AI and your data are processed exclusively in Switzerland  in compliance with the FADP and GDPR. No data is shared with any third parties.

The AI is driven by Infomaniak’s infrastructure, which is powered exclusively by renewable energy and uses filtered air to cool its servers and GPUs, without air conditioning. From March 2024, the heat generated by Infomaniak’s new data center will begin to be injected into the City of Geneva’s district heating network.

Available progressively with kSuite

The editorial assistant is also available on mobile devices with the free Infomaniak Mail app.

The Infomaniak editorial assistant is gradually being rolled out for users who have subscribed to kSuite, the ethical collaborative solution that brings together all our productivity tools. By the end of 2023, the aim is for all Infomaniak users to benefit from this, including free email addresses.
